Roberta H. Clarke Jenero, MS, RD, LD, is a registered dietitian with 18 years experience acquired at the University of Illinois Hospital as a clinical dietitian and at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago as coordinator of their nutrition clinic. Her dynamic personality and her ability to simplify complex dietary concepts have made her much sought after as a public speaker and media expert.

An author, Roberta wrote Figure Facts for Life: Learn to Fuel Your Body For Health and Weight Management!, a handy how-to guide to using food as fuel for your body in order to maintain maximum health. The book offers a dietary self-evaluation, daily food intake checklists and a nutrition counter on just about every food from A to Z. In addition, Roberta hosted her own internet-based radio show Figure Facts for Life LIVE! on VoiceAmerica.com.

She is the Founder and CEO of Figure Facts, LLC, which launched FigureFacts.com in July 2002, a web site for nutrition-conscious individuals, clinicians and their patients. The web site design incorporates key elements of Roberta's book while taking it several steps further. An unprecedented feature of the site offers RDs and health educators a secure, confidential area to work with their own clients and monitor their clients' food intake logs. Another unprecedented feature allows users to download a PDA-compatible version of FigureFacts® for key personal dietary information right in the palm of their hand.

Roberta's professional philosophy includes demystifying nutrition for the general public and making it easy for people to incorporate daily dietary decisions into their lives. She has specialized in Medical Nutrition Therapy for people with food allergies, diabetes, cardiovascular problems, gastrointestinal disorders and other maladies. She has also provided nutrition counseling for everyone from athletes to pregnant women to vegetarians.

Roberta received both her Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Nutrition and Medical Dietetics from the University of Illinois at Chicago. It wasn't long after Roberta received her Bachelor's degree that she was asked to appear on a Chicago radio program to suggest eating tips during the Christmas holiday season. Since then, Roberta has made over 100 media appearances on subjects as varied as fad diets to preventing E. Coli attacks in the home.

She has also appeared nationally as a guest lecturer on dietary matters for numerous associations, organizations and corporations, including Roche Pharmaceuticals.

Roberta is an active member of the American Dietetic Association and the Chicago Dietetic Association.

Roberta is a lifelong resident of the Chicago area.
